Hamas: It is a shame for the world that Israel is blackmailing Gaza by “cutting off the water”.
One of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, referring to the Zionist regime’s anti-human crime in cutting off water in the Gaza Strip, said it is a shame for the international community to allow the occupation to use water to blackmail the residents of Gaza. |
According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, Bassem Naim, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said on Wednesday that since the beginning of the invasion of Gaza, the occupiers cut off the water in the Gaza Strip in an anti-human crime.
He went on to say: “90 percent of the water suitable for drinking in Gaza has disappeared, and the residents of this strip sometimes have to use sea water to meet their needs.” This Hamas official said: “It is a shame for the international community to allow the occupiers to use water to blackmail the residents of Gaza.”
Basem Naim added: “Gaza residents are in dire straits to get a loaf of bread due to the bombing of bakeries by the occupiers.”
He asked the international community and the United Nations not to give in to the demands of the occupiers and to take immediate and practical action to break the siege of Gaza, especially against the northern areas.
Basem Naeem said: “So far, the occupiers have targeted 120 medical institutions in the Gaza Strip and have taken a large number of them out of service, and the occupiers are intensifying the bombing of Gaza hospitals and medical centers, which will cause a crisis”.
This senior Hamas official added: “49% of the victims of the recent bombings by the Zionist regime from the south were in the Gaza Strip, and currently 2% of the residents of Gaza are either killed or injured or missing.” ».
