According to the foreign policy group Tasnim news agency, Alireza Enayati, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Saudi Arabia, wrote on his personal page in X program about the meeting of the leaders of the Islamic countries in Riyadh: The extraordinary meeting of the heads of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to defend Palestine and condemn the crimes of the Zionist regime in the next two days in Riyadh will be held.
He said: At midnight last night, the expert team of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran arrived in Riyadh to examine the document of the summit.
Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday evening that this country will host two Arab and Islamic meetings next Saturday and Sunday to discuss the developments in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia issued a statement pointing out that it has postponed the Arab-African meeting on economic cooperation and emphasized that Saudi Arabia is in charge of this round of meetings of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
This ministry added: The developments in Gaza require a call to hold an extraordinary meeting of heads of Arab and Islamic countries to discuss the current crisis in Gaza and its dangerous humanitarian consequences.
On Monday, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation announced that an emergency meeting will be held in Riyadh next Sunday at the request of Saudi Arabia to discuss the aggression of the Zionist regime against Gaza.
Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, the president of our country, will also travel to Riyadh next Sunday to participate in the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
