According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced on Sunday morning that Foreign Minister Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani discussed with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken about the deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip.
This statement states: “Qatar’s foreign minister stressed the need for coordinated regional and international efforts to achieve a ceasefire and the permanent reopening of the Rafah crossing”.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman emphasized the continuation of Doha’s efforts to mediate for the release of Zionist prisoners held by Hamas.
The statement added: “Foreign Minister Qatar emphasized that the continuation of the bombing in the Gaza Strip will double the humanitarian disaster and complicate the mediation efforts. He had informed the resistance in Gaza to establish a three-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 12 prisoners. (more details)
