Islamabad: There are 6 thousand fighters of “Tehrik Taliban Pakistan” in Afghanistan

According to the regional office of Tasnim News, following Intensification of verbal tensions between Pakistani and Afghan authorities, “Asif Durrani”, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, told the country’s media that 6,000 fighters of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan are present in Afghanistan, and this is worrying.
“Pakistan Daily” stated in a report: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has six thousand fighters in Afghanistan who are involved in attacks against Pakistani security forces along the common border with Afghanistan.
Asif Durrani stated: “Peace in Afghanistan has actually become a nightmare for Pakistan, because people who have shelter inside Afghanistan carry out these attacks”.
He further emphasized: Taliban in Afghanistan “either choose Pakistan or Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan”. He clarified: The control and disarmament of TTP is the responsibility of the Afghan government. They cannot shirk this responsibility.
Durani stated that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and Afghan Taliban have a long-standing relationship and it is said that they are two sides of the same coin.
The Pakistani official continued: Therefore, the Afghan government should punish Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.
Durrani said: TTP fighters are under the control of the Afghan Taliban and they cross the border with their permission.
Pakistan’s security authorities have previously announced It was reported that the Taliban and Pakistan have reached an understanding to remove the Pakistani Tehreek-e-Taliban fighters from the border areas.
