According to Webangah News quoted by Tasnim News agency, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in an interview with the news channel Regarding the war in Gaza, Al Jazeera said: Currently, there is a siege in Gaza based on the use of force. Islamic countries should try to solve this problem with every diplomatic tool.
He stated that before the war there was a process of normalization in the region, adding: After the events of October 7, it was observed that in the issue Nothing has changed in Palestine. Egypt does everything it can to deliver aid, but there are various sensitivities in this regard. There should be coordination with Israel on some issues.
The Turkish Foreign Minister continued: Our goal is collective action against Israel. It is important to make coordinated decisions with other countries and apply collective pressure. Referring to his meeting with the US foreign minister, Fidan also said: I told Blinken that what happens when Israelis are killed. You react, you have to react when Palestinians are killed. This is a double standard, it shows that the world system is going bankrupt. Israel’s targeting of women and children is something you should distance yourself from (seek acquittal), which you don’t. This is a big crisis for the whole world.
He continued: One of the things we could not agree with the Americans was unconditional support for Israel and that they are not looking for a ceasefire. I spoke very clearly and openly with Blinken, we asked for a ceasefire, I told him that we categorically reject the evacuation of the people of Gaza.
