Amnesty International documented some of Israel's war crimes

According to Fars News Agency International Group, Amnesty International has documented the war crimes committed by the Israeli regime during its recent military operations in Gaza.

Amnesty International has announced that, as an example, it has investigated two cases of Israeli operations in which 46 civilians, including 20 children, died. The oldest victim was an 80-year-old woman and the youngest was a three-month-old child.

These attacks took place on October 19 and 20. The first attack was related to the bombing of a church building in Gaza City, which at that time had become a shelter for hundreds of civilians, and the second was an attack on a residential house in the “Al-Nusirat” refugee camp in the center of Gaza.

Blind attacks: an example of a war crime

Amnesty International’s detailed investigation of these two events has determined that the bombing of these buildings were blind attacks or direct attacks on civilian targets or individuals and should be investigated as war crimes.

Erica Govra-Rosas, one of the officials of Amnesty International, said: “These deadly and illegal attacks are part of a clear pattern of disregard for Palestinian civilians and show that the unprecedented killings by the Israeli army have caused nowhere in Gaza, even if the shelter It is not safe if it is civilians.”

He added: “We ask the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to take immediate and concrete measures to speed up investigations into war crimes and other open crimes in 2021. “

In order to prepare this report, Amnesty International visited the areas of the attacks, photographed the consequences of the attacks and interviewed 14 people, in addition to analyzing satellite images and audio evidence. According to this report, Israeli authorities have not provided any solid evidence about the reasons for carrying out these two attacks, including the existence of alleged military targets. Instead, according to Amnesty International, the Israeli army has published contradictory information regarding the bombing of the church building. And he issued a statement that did not provide any evidence regarding the information contained in it. Amnesty International’s investigation has found no indication that the buildings may have been used for military purposes.

Amnesty International’s current findings are based on the international body’s previous documentation of illegal attacks. The Israeli regime is in the process of recent operations and also other operations of this regime in Gaza. It described schools, hospitals and other urban infrastructure as “unprecedented”. The past has been documented, but the intensity and brutality of the current bombings is unprecedented.”

He added: “The terrible casualties in Gaza – 11,000 civilians, more than 4,600 of whom are children, have been killed in 6 weeks. It is a sign of how worthless the lives of Palestinians are in the eyes of the Israeli forces who ordered and executed these attacks. My heart stopped when my children left.”

On October 19, an Israeli airstrike targeted a building inside Gaza. In this attack, 18 civilians were killed and at least 12 others were injured. He told Amnesty International: “My phone went out that evening with my children. All my children died: Majid, 11 years old, Julie, 12 years old, and Sohail, 14 years old. I have no other children. I should have died with my children.”

He added: “I left there just two minutes earlier. My sister asked me to go underground to help my father who is in bed due to a stroke. My children stayed upstairs with their relatives and their wives and children. That’s when the attack happened and killed everyone.”

Al Souri states: “We left our homes and came to stay in the church because we thought we would be protected here. We have nowhere else to go. That church was full of peaceful people… only peaceful people were there. In this war, nowhere in Gaza is safe. Everywhere is under bombardment, day and night. Every day the number of civilians who are killed is increasing. We pray for peace, but our hearts are broken.”

Sami Targhi told Amnesty International that his parents and one of his relatives, who was only 6 months old, were killed in the bombing.

Some media later quoted the Israeli army and wrote that the Israeli army fighters destroyed a command and control center belonging to Hamas.

The Israeli army later deleted the video and the authorities Since then, the Israelis have not provided any proof or evidence that the church building was the headquarters of Hamas command and control. The videos and pictures published in the cyberspace after the attack and including the satellite images related to this area have been compared before and after the attack. Amnesty International’s weapons experts also examined the images and videos and concluded that a large bomb directly hit the building where the civilians were sheltering.

Church officials before In this attack, they said in public statements that hundreds of civilians had taken refuge in this area, therefore, the presence of these civilians was a matter of course for the Israeli army.

“I will spend the rest of my life feeling guilty”

The attack destroyed a residential house and damaged two nearby buildings in the Nusirat camp.
