“UNIFEL” warning about the escalation of tensions in southern Lebanon

The commander of the United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) warned that any escalation of tensions in southern Lebanon could have devastating consequences.

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, General “Aroldo Lataron”, the commander of the United Nations peacekeeping forces in Lebanon, expressed his concern about the extensive exchange of fire along the Blue Belt.

Since the start of the Zionist regime’s war against Gaza, this regime has carried out attacks on southern Lebanon, during which a number of citizens and Hezbollah forces were martyred.

General Lataron said: “Expressing his concern about the extensive exchange of fire along the Blue Belt, which resulted in the death of many people and caused a lot of damage. I’ll anounce”.

General Lataron said: “As peacekeepers, we urge those who engage in exchange of fire along the Blue Belt to stop the violence; “Any escalation of tension in southern Lebanon may have devastating consequences.”
