Group 7: We support the extension of the Gaza ceasefire

According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, following the support of Western countries and international organizations for the extension of the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the Group of 7 also demanded the continuation of this humanitarian pause.
The foreign ministers of the Group of 7 member states said in a statement on Wednesday morning: “We support the extension of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel and the agreement on future breaks, if necessary, to increase the aid sent to the Gaza Strip and the release of all hostages.”
“We call on the Houthis to immediately stop attacks against [Israel] and threats to international shipping lines and release the Galaxy Leader ship and its crew,” the statement said. /p>
The foreign ministers of the Group of 7 also added: “We appreciate the efforts of the United States, Qatar and Egypt to stop hostilities and support the efforts of the United Nations to provide assistance.”
Earlier on Tuesday morning, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen welcomed the agreement to extend the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for two days. (more details)
