According to the international group Tasnim news agency, “Anthony Blinken, US Secretary of State, after meeting with Jens Stoltenberg, “NATO Secretary General” in Brussels, claimed that Washington’s focus is on extending the “ceasefire in Gaza”.
Blinken said: “We will focus on trying to extend the ceasefire in Gaza. We are looking for killing the number of casualties among the Palestinians and facilitating the exit of foreigners from Gaza. This meeting did not decrease the interest of both sides in Ukraine and the Eastern Balkans.
In recent weeks, the US government has said that it does not support the “ceasefire” in Gaza and seeks to establish a “break in the war”. America believes that establishing a ceasefire will benefit Hamas.
Israel started heavy air and ground operations against Gaza after the October 7 operation by Hamas in occupied Palestine. did These attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of more than 15,000 Palestinians. America has supported Israel by sending weapons.
Blinken claimed that during his trip to the Middle East (West Asia) next week, he will also try to extend the ceasefire. He also said: “We made it clear even before October 7 that the two-state solution is the only path for peace and stability.”
Another of his statements repeated the claims against Iran and claimed that most of the drones used against Kiev are supplied by Iran.
He also said that there is an “unshakable agreement” between the two sides to continue supporting Ukraine. The US foreign minister claimed: “Today, when we are meeting here, those who bet against NATO are wrong. We are bigger, more united, and more capable than ever before.”
