According to the Fars News Agency reporter in Tashkent, Uzbekistan President Shaukat Mirziyoyev and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the practical implementation of the agreements reached in the framework of the high-level official visit to Moscow in a telephone conversation. The presidents of the two countries emphasized with satisfaction the regular strengthening of partnership relations and comprehensive strategic alliance, as well as the expansion of all-round cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia. .
In this conversation, it was stated that the growth of commercial exchange indicators is maintained and cooperation projects are implemented in various sectors of the economy. Relationships between regions develop fruitfully. Also, not long ago, a large joint agricultural complex was launched in Jazakh province.
At the end, the heads of Uzbekistan and Russia also welcomed active cultural exchanges and ongoing programs in the health sector.
Russia is one of the biggest economic and trade partners of Uzbekistan. The trade exchange of these two countries in 2022 is at the level of 8 billion and 500 million dollars.
Currently, more than 961 joint ventures with Russian investment are operating in Uzbekistan. In Uzbekistan, the representative office of 64 Russian companies has been registered. In Russia, more than 560 companies operate in various fields with the participation of Uzbek investors.
Russia recognized the independence of this country on March 20, 1992 The two countries have established diplomatic relations.
