According to Fars International News Agency, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken once again gave the green light to Israel to carry out military operations that have resulted in the death of thousands of civilians in a news conference on Friday morning.
Blinken said, according to Al Jazeera, “Israel has the right to do whatever it takes to ensure that the massacre of October 7 by Hamas is not repeated.” He also claimed that Hamas cannot remain in power in Gaza.
Blinken, who held this news conference hours after attending the meeting of the Israeli war cabinet, said “Benjamin Netanyahu”, the Prime Minister of Israel. He said that he plans to resume the military offensive in Gaza after the exchange of prisoners.
America has strongly supported the attacks of the Israeli regime after October 7. In recent days, Joe Biden’s administration has said that it only supports “war breaks” in Gaza and is not in favor of a ceasefire that could benefit Hamas. Human rights and some politicians of the Democratic Party have resisted to end the Israeli attacks. Officials of the Biden administration say that improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza will only be possible through these temporary ceasefires. However, the US government is trying to maintain its international image by conducting diplomatic operations. public and media propaganda to reduce the international pressure and public opinion on Tel Aviv and Washington.
Blinken claimed in his press conference on Saturday morning that he asked the Israeli authorities that before resuming military operations In Gaza, it should implement the necessary programs to protect civilians. He said Israel must identify areas where civilians will be safe and avoid damaging urban infrastructure such as hospitals and water facilities.
Previously, the Axios website reported that the concerns in the White House about increasing international pressure on Tel Aviv and Washington as a result of the killing of civilians in Gaza in the new round of Israeli attacks have intensified.
Blinken also stated that those Palestinians who have been displaced from the north of Gaza should return as soon as the situation improves. He said there should not be continuous forced migration. The US Secretary of State also said: “We expect the Israeli government to do more to prevent settler violence in the West Bank.”
News sources had previously reported that despite the fragile ceasefire in Israel’s Gaza Strip has continued its deadly raids in the West Bank, arresting almost as many new Palestinian prisoners as those it released as part of the ceasefire.
Before this, Benjamin Netanyahu The Prime Minister of the Israeli regime emphasized that the current ceasefires do not mean Tel Aviv’s intention to end the war. The Israeli regime has set its war goal of operations in Gaza as the “destruction of Hamas”, which many analysts doubt in its realization even inside occupied Palestine.
