European program to train 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers by spring

According to the report of Fars International News Agency, “Robert Briger,” the head of the European Union’s military committee, said on Saturday evening that the European Union plans to train 40,000 Ukrainian military personnel by spring.
Briger, who traveled to Estonia, explained that the EU should continue to support Ukraine as long as necessary, whether by sending weapons or providing military training.
According to “Sputnik” news agency, he said: “We have currently trained 34,000 Ukrainian military personnel, and we plan to train 40,000 soldiers by spring 2024.”

This European Union military official also added that since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, the EU countries have provided 27 billion euros in military aid to Kiev.
