According to a Fars news agency reporter in Astana, the Kazakh government has approved the comprehensive development plan for the largest oil and gas and petrochemical projects for 2027-2023.
The relevant resolution was signed by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, “Alikhan Ismailov”. 37.3 billion dollars are expected to be invested.
Specifically, this document aims to increase the implementation of large oil and gas projects in the “Tangiz”, “Karachghanek” and “Kashagan” fields. It is planned to produce 105.5 million tons of oil and 82.1 billion cubic meters of gas by 2027.
Also, in order to supply petroleum products to the domestic market, three projects are expected to be implemented. .
It is planned that by 2029, the production capacity in the Chimkent refinery will increase from 6 to 12 million tons.
In As a result, this country will produce 18 million tons of petroleum products per year.
Regarding the petrochemical industry, it is also necessary to mention that the implementation of projects such as the construction of the first chemical gas complex for the production of polyethylene with a capacity 1.25 million tons and infrastructure project of gas separation complex with processing capacity. 9.1 billion cubic meters will significantly increase the production volume of petrochemical products, attract large investments and make full use of the raw material potential of the Tangiz field. Field development, 7 projects with a total investment of about 10 billion dollars are predicted.
