Erdogan: There is a possibility that Greece will use Turkey’s nuclear power plant

After returning from Greece, the President of Turkey stated that he is investigating the possibility of Greece using the country's nuclear power plant in the Black Sea.

According to the Fars News Agency International Group, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the country is considering allowing Greece to benefit from a nuclear power plant. which will be established near the shores of the Black Sea.

A senior official of the Greek government recently emphasized the benefits of better relations with Turkey without ignoring fundamental differences. Greek Foreign Minister George Graptritis said that the paths of political communication between Greece and Turkey in recent months has been created and has strengthened the level of mutual understanding.

Erdogan announced the pursuit of a win-win approach to Greece. The President of Turkey said: “I believe that my trip, which took place in a very positive atmosphere, will open a new page in Turkey-Greece relations.”

Long-standing differences have brought Athens and Ankara to the brink of war three times in the past 50 years. The latest flare-up of the war occurred in 2020, when Greek and Turkish naval vessels came to the brink of conflict over disputes over maritime boundaries and resource exploration rights.

Erdogan also announced that he is seeking a fair sharing of natural resources in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
