According to the news agency “Arka, Stano said: The European Union does not consider holding joint exercises with Armenia. The European Union is not a military alliance, but a valuable political and economic community.” He clarified: “The European Union has no plan to train Armenian soldiers on the territory of other countries. It is not a member of this union.”
Stano said that the European Union is considering the possibility of supporting the Armenian army through the European Peace Foundation in a “defensive” form, but still No concrete decision has been made.
News sources had reported shortly before the EU’s attempt to help the Armenian armed forces. Vassilis Maragos, head of the EU delegation in Armenia, told RFE/RL’s Armenian service that Brussels will present the mission in the coming months to present special proposals to help the Armenian army.
