Israel’s attempt to confiscate East Quds lands under the pretext of building cable cars
The Israeli regime is trying to confiscate a significant part of the occupied East Jerusalem under the pretext of building a cable car. |
According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the construction of cable cars in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem was one of Israel’s plans years ago, and now the implementation stages of this plan are going on more intensively, which has caused the reaction of the Arab League and Arab countries.
According to Anatolia news agency, the Arab League in a statement today (Wednesday) considered the construction of cable cars in East Jerusalem to be a clear violation of international laws and Security Council resolutions and added: “Land confiscation, The expropriation and displacement of residents from East Jerusalem shows a systematic plan to Judaize Jerusalem”. The region is taking advantage to advance its plans for the Judaization of the occupied Jerusalem.
The Arab League emphasized: “The international community must pay attention to Israel’s dangerous policies in the holy areas, especially considering to the fascist ideology of the far-right government that leads Israel today”.
The Tel Aviv regime for the first time in June 2016 approved the plan to build a cable car in East Jerusalem. This cable car is supposed to be stretched from West Jerusalem to the “Mount of Olives” area in East Jerusalem, which overlooks the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and finally, passing through the “Bab al-Maghrabeh” it will reach the Shining Wall (to the Jews: Nadba Wall).
Since the plan of this project, there has been a lot of controversy among the Palestinians, which aims to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque.
A few days ago, the governor of Quds said that the Israeli regime is 30 families. In “Al-Bizoon” neighborhood in “Selvan” village (next to Al-Aqsa Mosque) they said that they have to evacuate their houses within two months, because the construction of the cable car is going to start.
According to Palestinian sources, the Israeli regime plans to confiscate about 8,725 square meters of Palestinian land for this project.
