According to the regional office report of Tasnim News Agency
, “Mortaza Solangi”, the Minister of Information of Pakistan, announced that the cost of permission to leave Pakistan for Afghan refugees without documents to third countries has been reduced from $800 to $400.
He added that the new bill will be valid until February 29 next year, and after the deadline, $100 will be added to the fine every month until this amount reaches $800.
Earlier, the interim government of Pakistan allowed any Afghan refugee without a Pakistani visa to fly legally from the airport for $800.
According to “Dawn News”, the Minister of Information of Pakistan further stated that more than 450 thousand Afghan immigrants have left this country and claimed that most of these people left Pakistan voluntarily.
Earlier, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees asked Pakistan to stop deporting Afghan refugees without documents in the winter season.
