Kanani: Human rights violators are not in a position to advise the Iranian government and people
While condemning the anti-Iranian resolution in the UN General Assembly, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: Countries that have a long history of systematically violating human rights are not in a position to give human rights recommendations to the government and people of Iran. |
According to the foreign policy group of Fars news agency, the action of some western countries in proposing and approving a human rights resolution against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the UN General Assembly was met with the reaction of the spokesperson of the diplomatic service.
Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (Wednesday, December 29) called the actions of these countries a clear example of double standards and the use of human rights as a tool for illegitimate political purposes, and strongly condemned it.
According to Fars report, this anti-Iranian resolution proposed by Canada was approved by 78 votes in the UN General Assembly on Tuesday night, December 28. 98 members out of 193 members of the United Nations voted against it and abstained.
The genocidal war crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and the West Bank of Palestine are closed, and some are fully and unlimitedly supporting this criminal regime, and even more ridiculous is that this regime is also one of the founders of the resolution against Iran.
He added: The cooperation of the Zionist usurper regime in drafting and approving the human rights resolution against Iran is nothing but a great political and moral scandal for the western founders, as well as devaluing the lofty concept of human rights and nullifying them. Making international institutions is not part of their existential philosophy.
This senior Iranian diplomat called this resolution without legal basis and rejected and said: countries that have a long history of systematic violation of human rights and people all over the world have bitter and stinging experiences of their inhumane actions. They remember that they are not in a position to make human rights recommendations to the government and people of Iran.
And it is completely serious in fulfilling its international obligations and is still ready to engage in dialogue and constructive cooperation in the framework of mutual respect, equality, justice and fairness and stay away from political purposes with all mechanisms for the sake of the exalted principles it cares about in order to improve the position of human rights in the world. Legitimate international works and countries interested in strengthening and real protection of human rights.
According to Fars Zahra Ershadi, Iran’s Ambassador and Deputy Representative to the United Nations, last night and at the time of the approval of this resolution in the committee Third, the General Assembly announced in a speech: The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly rejects the biased resolution of human rights.
