The Washington Post investigation questioned Israel’s claim about Hamas
An investigation by an American newspaper questioned the Israeli regime's claims about Hamas' military use of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. |
According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, an investigation conducted by the Washington Post denied the claims of the Israeli regime about the military use of Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza by Hamas.
The Israeli regime has repeatedly claimed that Hamas uses Al-Shifa Hospital as a command and control center. However, a review of satellite images and other information sources by The Washington Post shows that there is little evidence to support these claims.
The main findings of the Washington Post investigation indicate that there is no indication that the hospital’s rooms were used by the military. In addition, no connection was found between the hospital buildings and the Hamas tunnel network. It was also not possible to access the tunnels from inside the hospital.
Washington Post’s analysis undermines the legality and appropriateness of Israel’s military operations against Al-Shifa Hospital and challenges the actions of the Israeli regime in Gaza.
Earlier, an official of the World Health Organization denied the claim of the Israeli regime about the use of hospitals as military bases by the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement, Hamas.
Richard Pieperkorn, the representative of the World Health Organization in Gaza, said on Thursday in response to a reporter’s question about the claim made by Israel: “We have not seen anything like this in the field in our mission.”
This WHO official further said that the organization is not in a position to comment on how hospitals are used. Peppercorn clarified: “The role of the World Health Organization is to monitor, analyze and report.” . Based on this claim, this regime has targeted various medical centers in Gaza and even arrested medical staff members and patients for questioning. Despite this, Tel Aviv has not yet provided any evidence to support its claims.
