According to Fars News Agency, the United Nations Security Council approved a resolution to increase aid to Gaza.
America abstained from this resolution. Russia was another country that abstained from this resolution. 13 other members agreed with the resolution.
CJTN network, written by the US, has vetoed Russia’s request to include a clause for an “immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities” in the text of this resolution.
Emirati representative’s explanation about the Security Council resolution regarding Gaza
The UAE representative in the United Nations explained about the adopted resolution and said: “The resolution that The UAE has requested an increase in humanitarian aid to Gaza and the appointment of a humanitarian coordinator to facilitate the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. >
The UAE representative stated: “The situation at the Rafah border is unbearable. Half of the people in Gaza are dying of hunger.”
