According to the report of Fars news agency’s foreign policy group, Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmed Yildiz, who traveled to Tehran to hold a new round of Iran-Turkey political consultations and participate in the Palestine International Conference, met with Mehdi Safari, Deputy Diplomacy Economic Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met and discussed.
In this meeting, the deputy foreign ministers of the two countries pointed to the serious will of the high officials to expand the economic relations between the two countries and aim to increase the volume of trade to 30 billion dollar per year, a wide range of issues in the field of monetary-banking cooperation, customs, transit and transportation, development of border trade and removal of barriers to increase the volume of trade, cooperation in the field of energy, gas and electricity and joint investments are discussed and discussed.
In this meeting, the deputy of economic diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran pointed out the problems in the traffic of trucks at the Bazargan-Gorbulagh border and added: it is necessary for the managers of the terminals of the two sides to take necessary measures with continuous meetings. to accelerate the completion of construction activities and to anticipate alternative measures for the traffic of trucks during the reconstruction period to reduce the problems that have arisen. and Turkey, the complementary role and mutual need of the two countries in the field of transit and transportation, emphasized the need for more cooperation between the relevant ministries. Regarding the importance of further cooperation between the specialized ministries of the two countries, holding the joint economic commission is a good opportunity to plan and follow up existing obstacles and search for solutions, describing and guiding the foreign ministries of the two countries and encouraging specialized institutions for constructive cooperation.
