Abdul Mahdi’s appreciation for Iran’s decisive positions in continuous support of the resistance of the Palestinian people

According to the foreign policy group of Fars News Agency, former Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who traveled to Tehran to participate in the Tehran International Conference on Palestine, met with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at noon today (Monday). During the meeting, he discussed the topics of interest, especially the developments and events in Palestine and Gaza, as well as the important issues of the region. Regarding Palestine, Tehran expressed gratitude and stated the purpose of this meeting is to use international capacities and mechanisms more effectively to help the Palestinian people and stop the war crimes of the Zionist regime.

The distinguished and strategic relations of Iran and Iraq stated: the continuous visits and consultations of high officials and the numerous cooperation documents concluded between the two countries at different levels and fields indicate the depth of friendly and fraternal relations between Iran and Iraq.

Amir Abdullahian appreciated the constructive role of Iraq in the process of developments and regional cooperation and emphasized the necessity of the country’s continued role in diplomatic and international initiatives and movements to stop the war crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza.

In this meeting, Adel Abdul Mahdi also praised the successful holding of the Tehran meeting regarding Palestine, as well as the decisive and principled positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting and continuously supporting the resistance of the oppressed Palestinian nation, and condemned the 75 years of Zionist occupation and He called for the unity between the Palestinians and the convergence of the Islamic world in defense of the Palestinian resistance.
