According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of the Government of National Salvation of Yemen reacted in a statement to the claims of some media about the existence of threats against submarine cables passing through Bab al-Mandab.
In this statement, the ministry’s interest in keeping cables and services safe from any danger is emphasized and it is stated that Yemen’s decision to prevent the passage of enemy ships Zionist has nothing to do with ships owned by licensed international companies.
According to the report of the Yemeni news agency “Sabah”, in this statement it is emphasized that all the ships that carry out the affairs related to submarine cables must be registered with the Yemen Maritime Affairs Organization ( Sana’a) to receive the necessary permission and approval.
The said ministry also emphasized that Sanaa’s approach is to focus on the development of communication and internet services and the development of its range of services through licensed institutions and companies.
Some news media claimed that the forces of the National Salvation Government of Yemen (Sanaa) have decided to target the submarine cables of the global Internet that pass through Bab al-Mandab.
