Moscow: Germany’s calculations to harm Russia were wrong
The Russian ambassador in Berlin explained that by the choice of the German government, almost any kind of contact and bilateral communication with this country has been cut off. |
According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, “Sergei Nechaev”, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Berlin, said today (Friday) that the German government intended to harm Moscow, but made a miscalculation.
Nchaev said in an interview with the “Ryanovsky” channel that Berlin’s calculations to harm Russia by cutting off the import of energy carriers from this country did not succeed.
He explained: “Russia has always fulfilled its obligations under existing contracts. This cannot be discussed. Berlin’s refusal to buy Russian energy resources is a purely political decision that has nothing to do with economic feasibility.” The Russian diplomat continued: “These calculations were made based on the idea that It will do a lot of damage to Russia. But they were not right. As for gas exports, Russian President [Vladimir Putin] has repeatedly talked about the possibility of launching the Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Germany is interested in this issue.” In this regard, he clarified: “It seems that some German politicians are not against it. But their official response is silence. So they have to come to this conclusion themselves”.
He also announced that almost every kind of contact and communication between Berlin and Moscow has been cut off, which is due to the choices of the German government.
Previously, Olaf Schultz, the Prime Minister of Germany, in a strange claim without mentioning the negative effect of the economic sanctions that his country imposed against Russia on the pretext of the Ukraine war, blamed Moscow for the increase in energy prices in the West. And Europe knew. (more details)
