Jabaraf’s support for removing the obstacles of the Eurasian Union to achieve business prosperity

The president of Kyrgyzstan said: "Bishkek" wants to reduce the obstacles in the Eurasian Economic Union for the development of trade.

According to the Fars News Agency correspondent in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan President Sadir Jabaraf said at the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union in St. Petersburg: “Bishkek is in favor of reducing the obstacles in the Eurasian Economic Union, which It does not allow more active development of mutual trade.

He added: We must eliminate all supervisory problems in this union and the possibility of using all kinds of hidden controls.

Kyrgyz President pointed out the importance of ensuring the movement of goods, labor, services and capital within the Union and proposed to create mechanisms for unambiguous interpretation of these definitions.

Jabaraf emphasized: Introducing a system for “tracking the progress of goods” during their movement in the Eurasian Economic Union will also help promote the development of trade relations in this union.

He believes that the issue of documents accompanying electronic goods is still a relevant issue for the Union. For this reason, the Kyrgyz side considers it important to quickly introduce an integrated information system for data transfer using electronic digital signatures in this organization.

The President of Kyrgyzstan drew the attention of the meeting participants to the speed of goods crossing the internal and external borders of the Eurasian Union.

Jabaraf expressed concern that some checkpoints at the union’s borders could not cope with the heavy flow of cargo.

In this regard, he proposed the development of performance indicators to evaluate the performance of checkpoints located in the main transport corridors within the Union and at its external borders.

Kyrgyz President believes that: the world economy is undergoing transition and transformation, the geography of trade flow is changing, and in this sense, the importance of transporting goods by road is increasing.

He emphasized that despite the achievements in ensuring greater integration in all active areas of Eurasia, the economy of this union has successfully adapted to new conditions and is moving on the path of growth.

While the share of national currencies in mutual trade is gradually increasing, Jabaraf emphasized the need for the approval of a strategic document for the long-term development of the union by the members of the organization.

This document should contribute to the development of mutual trade and closer economic interaction between the member states of the Union.

The Eurasian Economic Union is an international regional economic integration organization with international legal personality, established by the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty on May 29, 2014. Currently, this union includes five countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
