Fars News Agency International Group; Last night (Friday), in an interview with the Russian Sputnik news agency, Rokha Ahmad Hassan, a member of the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Council, announced the possibility of Iran-Egypt relations returning to their highest level, i.e. the exchange of ambassadors.
Referring to the telephone call of the President of Iran, Ebrahim Raeesi, to “Abd al-Fattah al-Sisi” and congratulating him on his victory in the Egyptian presidential elections, he said that the relations between the two countries have developed significantly.
“Rekha Ahmad Hassan” added: “During this phone call, the two presidents discussed the development of bilateral relations and regional issues, including the issue of Gaza and the Red Sea”.
The former deputy foreign minister of Egypt, referring to the efforts of Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq, said that there is a possibility that the exchange of ambassadors will take place after the inauguration of Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
It took place on January 2, and “Mohammed Jamshidi”, the head of the political office of the president, wrote on X social network that the two presidents agreed to take concrete steps for the final settlement of the issues between the two countries.
“Rekha Ahmad Hassan” further said that the restoration of relations between the two countries is the completion of the process that has come about especially after the recent rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Iran and the efforts to solve the Yemen crisis. According to Rokha, the beginning of Iran’s presence in the Arab scene “in a different way”, in addition to increasing the ratio of trade exchanges with Arab countries, will also help the stability and development of the region.
