Visas to travel to the European Union have been canceled for Kosovo residents
After more than seven years have passed since the proposal of the European Commission to free visas for Kosovo citizens traveling to the European Union, this plan has finally been implemented since the beginning of this year. |
According to the report of the international group Tasnim news agency, quoted by the German publication “D Site”, for For a long time, Kosovo residents needed a visa to visit the EU. This meant: long waiting times and relatively high costs. In 2016, the European Union promised to end the visa requirement for the country, and this plan was implemented at the beginning of the year.
The people of Kosovo have been waiting for this for a long time. More than seven years ago, the European Union Commission proposed that travelers from Kosovo should also be able to visit all EU countries without a visa, that is, with only their passport, to stay in the Union for a maximum of 90 days. But there were new obstacles, new conditions and concerns from EU countries, not all of which had yet recognized Kosovo as an independent country. He expressed his relief and said: It was a long road, he said: It was a hard road for all the residents of Kosovo to finally get visa freedom and we finally achieved what we expected.
More freedom to travel is something that many Kosovar people would probably like They use it to search for new jobs in Europe.
