Putin’s latest stance on the Ukraine war
The President of Russia says that if his conditions are accepted by Ukraine, he wants to establish peace in this country and stop the war. |
According to the Fars News Agency International Group, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that he does not want to fight “endlessly” in Ukraine, however, he does not give up his positions in this regard. And he is ready for peace with Ukraine and stop the war only under the conditions that he determines. He said from a military hospital in Moscow that he is satisfied with the performance of the Russian army in Ukraine, because now the strategic initiatives on the war front are in the hands of this country’s army, and at the same time, the military strength of its rival forces in Ukraine is also decreasing.
The President of Russia, defending his statement that his country’s army has the upper hand in the war with Ukraine, stated that it currently controls about a fifth of Ukraine’s territory. However, he stated: We intend to end our conflicts and we will do so as soon as possible. Putin also emphasized that this process is only possible based on the acceptance of the conditions of the Russian government. He did not talk about a specific time to take measures to establish peace between the two countries. It is from Ukraine that has stopped the continuation of providing aid to Kyiv. Accordingly, Ukraine’s counter-attack on Russian positions, which began in June, has not brought many achievements for this country, and Russian forces are now trying to continue their advance in the eastern regions of Ukraine, i.e. Donetsk and Kharkiv.
Vladimir Putin, once again, considered the political elite in the West to be the main responsible for the war in Ukraine, which started almost two years ago and has not yet ended.
He even said in response to a question about Western aid to Ukraine: They are not helping our enemy, but they are our enemy. He considered Ukraine to be a tool in the hands of the West, which fights against Russia at the request of the authorities of Western countries. However, he introduced the main enemies of Russia, not Ukraine, but the allies of this country who support it during the war.
