According to “Agence France-Presse”, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement: “The French Embassy in Niger will now be closed until further notice. This diplomatic mission will continue its activities from the city of Paris.”
This statement continued: “Our embassy has suffered serious obstacles in the past five months since the coup. which made it impossible to perform his mammoths. One of these events is the construction of barriers around this building.”

An American official announced in October that Washington will keep about 1,000 military personnel in Niger, but will no longer provide training and assistance to Niger’s military forces.
