According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, following the drone attack today Thursday (January 4) on one of the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Organization of Iraq in the east of Baghdad, the Iraqi media from the emergency meeting of the National Security Council of Iraq chaired by Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani, Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces announced.
Informed sources announced today that in today’s drone attack on the headquarters of the 12th Al-Hashd al-Shaabi Brigade in Baghdad, two commanders of this organization from the Iraqi Al-Nujaba Movement were martyred and six people were injured. /p>
An Iraqi police source told Reuters news agency that two people were killed and five others were injured in the explosion. A source of al-Hashd al-Shaabi also said in an interview with Al-Jazeera that America is most likely responsible for this attack. The commander of Hizam Baghdad operations and his assistant Shahid and 6 others were wounded.
Iraqi sources say that the car of martyr Abu Taqvi was targeted as soon as he reached the said headquarters. Four missiles were fired from the attacker’s drone, one of which hit the car of martyr Abu Taqawi. Some sources have also announced the number of martyrs up to four.
