Israel TV: Netanyahu’s war cabinet will not last long

The senior ministers of the Israeli war cabinet have pointed out the recent differences between the military and security officials and said that this cabinet does not last long.

According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, “Israel Radio and Television Organization” referring to the conflicts between the members of the war cabinet of “Benjamin Netanyahu” quoted some senior ministers of the regime and wrote that this cabinet will not last long.

Yesterday, the Israeli media reported a fierce dispute between some of Netanyahu’s cabinet ministers and “Herzi Halevi”, the chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Israeli army. According to reports, the ministers shouted at each other and Holloway in that meeting to such an extent that Netanyahu had to end the cabinet meeting halfway.

Holloway recently announced that he had decided to appoint a team to investigate the October 7 attack. This issue led to an issue of intense debate between ministers.

Some ministers criticized Hallowi for this decision and others defended him as far as possible. They shouted at each other.

Hebrew-language media have reported that Netanyahu did not intervene to defend Hallowi. Benny Gantz, a member of the war cabinet, criticized Netanyahu on Friday for allowing right-wing ministers to repeatedly attack Holloway.

The Israel Radio and Television Organization, citing some sources, reported that the attack on Herzi Halevi was carried out with the coordination of Netanyahu.

In the cabinet security meeting that was held last night, the cabinet members were supposed to discuss plans for the future of Gaza after the end of the war. This meeting was supposed to be the first meeting of the security cabinet with this issue after October 7.

A week earlier, another meeting was supposed to be held on the same topic, but that meeting was also canceled due to differences among cabinet members.

The officials of the Israeli army criticized last night’s conflicts during the Security Cabinet meeting and told Israel TV Channel 12: “We are fighting in Gaza, Lebanon and the West Bank, then the Council of Ministers has time.” It fights with us.”

These differences continue while the Israeli regime has not succeeded in achieving its war goals after nearly three months of the war.

The Israeli regime has declared its goal of war actions in Gaza to destroy Hamas, but the New York Times newspaper wrote in an analysis last Wednesday, quoting experts, that there is still no sign of the decline of Hamas’ military power.

In a video message today, Gantz blamed Netanyahu for last night’s events and said it is time for him to correct his mistakes.

Gantz said: “The cabinet was supposed to discuss and consult on strategic processes that will affect the continuation of our operations and security in the future.” This did not happen and the prime minister is responsible for this.” He continued: “It is his responsibility to correct this incident and then choose between unity and security or political work. If the important issue now is security and unity, we need to hold an urgent meeting on the continuation of the war and do it very soon.” Gantz said he accepted that the ministers were going to ask questions. to ask and challenge the information provided to them by the security officials in the cabinet meetings. He went on to say: “But what happened yesterday was a politically motivated attack in the midst of war.” He clarified: “I have been in many cabinet meetings. Such behavior has never happened and should never happen.”

Gantz further defended Holloway’s decision to appoint a committee to investigate military failures on October 7.

Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas on October 7th (15th of October) in response to more than seven decades of occupation of Palestine and nearly two decades of siege of Gaza and imprisonment and torture of thousands of Palestinians called “Al-Aqsa storm” It started.

This operation was one of the deadliest attacks against this regime. Hamas fighters penetrated into the occupied territories at several points of the border fences, attacked villages and besides killing a large number of Israelis, captured a number of them.

Zionist regime In response to this operation, it launched heavy attacks against Gaza and placed this area under a complete siege. Despite this, as analysts say, the al-Aqsa operation has imposed a major security-political defeat on Israel.

Israeli regime officials have declared their military goal in this war to destroy Hamas. Meanwhile, many analysts have questioned the possibility of achieving this goal, even in occupied Palestine. The note in Haaretz newspaper wrote that Netanyahu himself knows that he is not able to eliminate Hamas. has survived.

Specialists of military and political issues say that the structure of this organization is designed in such a way that it has the ability to resist conspiracies to destroy itself.

Gyora Eiland, a former Israeli officer who has a history of chairing Israel’s Internal Security Council, told the New York Times in an interview on Wednesday that Hamas has shown that it has the ability to immediately replace its dead commanders with others who are equally capable.

Supporters of the committee formed by Holloway say that this committee is supposed to identify the shortcomings and shortcomings of the Israeli army on October 7, but the critics of this committee, which are mainly supporters Netanyahu believes that the purpose of this committee is to take political measures to blame Netanyahu’s security apparatus.

Gantz, who is the head of the “National Unity” party and joined Netanyahu’s coalition cabinet after October 7, criticized Netanyahu for not accepting responsibility in that incident.

He said: “The Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Army, who knew how to take responsibility after the October 7 tragedy, once again shows his responsibility and intends to form a team that is supposed to learn operational lessons.” It is a good thing to provide for the continuation of the war. This is his duty.”

Gantz then added: “There is no way that after the war, an investigative committee will be formed to look into all the events of October 7 at all levels. But the main focus of that committee should be on the role of the government [in the October 7 incident] and not on the issues of military operations. This is what the people of Israel want.”

One of the criticisms that have been leveled at Holloway for the formation of the investigative committee is the inclusion of Shaul Mofaz, the former chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Israeli army, in the aforementioned committee. .
