Denmark delayed delivery of F-16 to Ukraine

A Danish newspaper reported the intention of the country's government to delay the delivery of its F-16 fighters to Ukraine.

According to Fars News Agency International Group, the Danish newspaper “Berlingske” reported that the country’s Ministry of Defense plans to delay the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine for several months.

According to the “Bloomberg” database, Denmark, which is one of the biggest supporters of Ukraine among the Western countries, had planned the first part of its F-16 fighters consisting of six fighters around the beginning of the new year. send it to Ukraine in 2014, but now according to the report of this Danish newspaper, the delivery of these fighters will be postponed to the second quarter of 2024. This decision announced without providing further details, the delivery program of these fighters is based on the implementation of several conditions, including the success of the training program to work with these fighters to Ukrainian pilots, the availability of sufficient logistics and the existence of infrastructure related to the provision of F-16 services in Ukraine.

Berlingske newspaper wrote that six Ukrainian pilots are currently in Denmark undergoing training to work with the F-16.

Ukraine’s western allies will hold a training program for Ukrainian pilots to work with F-16 fighters in the United States, Romania, Denmark, France and the United Kingdom.
