According to the international group Tasnim News Agency
, Major General Mohammad Hamdan Daghlo, known as Hamidti, arrived in Uganda on Wednesday two weeks ago on his first regular trip to the countries of the region and discussed with the president of this country about the developments of the battle in Sudan. He then went to Ethiopia and had a conversation with the Prime Minister of this country and from there he went to Djibouti and negotiated with the authorities of this country about establishing a ceasefire in Sudan.
In response to Hamidati’s trip, the head of the ruling council and the commander of the Sudanese army severely criticized the countries that officially welcomed him and threatened to take measures against these countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan has recalled its ambassadors from these two countries in protest of the official reception of Major General “Mohammed Hamdan Daghlo”, the commander of the rapid reaction forces, by the high-ranking officials of Uganda and Kenya.
According to Sudan’s official news agency “Suna”, the ministry announced by publishing two separate statements: Hamidti was officially welcomed in Kampala and Nairobi. Therefore, “Ali Sadegh”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, protested the official reception of the commander of the rebels (Rapid Reaction Forces) and called the country’s ambassadors from Uganda and Kenya to consult.
In these statements, the foreign minister of Sudan is quoted as saying: Kampala and Nairobi have forgotten the terrible violations of the rapid response forces in destroying the infrastructure and capabilities of Sudan and looting the property of the people of this country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sudan accused Kenya of supporting the rapid reaction forces and announced: in consultation with the ambassador of Sudan in Kampala, all possibilities regarding relations with Kenya will be explored.
