According to Fars News Agency, the United Nations Security Council on Thursday morning approved the draft resolution proposed by the United States to condemn the operations of the Yemeni army against Zionist ships in the Red Sea.
In this resolution, while condemning the attacks of the Yemeni armed forces on vessels related to the Zionist regime in response to the occupation’s attacks on Gaza for more than three months and the killing of several tens of thousands of Palestinians, the necessity of protecting the security of maritime navigation has been emphasized.
Vasily Nebenzia, the representative of Russia in the United Nations, during the meeting of the Security Council, described the adopted resolution regarding the safety of shipping in the Red Sea as “political”.
Repeating baseless and unsubstantiated claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran, he claimed: “Iran has advanced systems, including It has transferred drones and missiles to the Houthis. The approval of the resolution condemning the Houthi attacks makes Iran adhere to its obligations.” He said: “What is happening in the Red Sea is an external reflection of the conflict in Gaza, and we want the hostilities in Gaza to stop.” It contributes to the stability of the supply chain and global trade. We ask the Houthis to follow the resolution of the Security Council and not hinder international trade in the Red Sea.” The threats of the American authorities will continue, he emphasized that if anyone obstructs the operations of the Yemeni army, they will face the response of the Yemenis.
