According to the Fars news agency reporter in Astana, Marat Syzdikov, the permanent representative of Kazakhstan in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, was appointed as the head of the permanent council of this organization.
The first meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has started in 2024 and the chairmanship of this organization was transferred from Belarus to Kazakhstan. Russian Federation and since 2019, he has worked as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The organs of the organization work in the interval between the meetings of the council.
The permanent council consists of permanent and authorized representatives who are appointed by the member states according to their internal procedures and acts according to the regulations approved by the council.
In 2023, Belarus chaired the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
