Binto Keita, the head of this delegation, said in a joint press conference with Congolese government officials: According to the authorization of the UN Security Council, we have up to 13,500 troops, which will be reduced to 11,500 troops by April 30 when the withdrawal process begins. The first stage of the three-stage plan for the withdrawal of peacekeepers from the Congo will begin in South Kivu province, and 14 UN military bases in this province will be handed over to the Congolese security forces.
