He said: “Russia’s position in relation to Taiwan is fully known, consistent and unchangeable.” They are specified in numerous political documents and treaties signed and approved by the heads of Russia and China in the 1990s and 2000s.
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry stated, for example, this policy in paragraph The fifth treaty of good neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China was entered on July 16, 2001.
It reaffirms the non-changeability of its principled position towards the Taiwan issue, which was specified in the political documents signed and approved by the heads of the two countries between 1992 and 2000.”
According to Zakharova in the Another part of this paragraph is written: “The Russian side acknowledges that there is only one China in the world, the government of the People’s Republic of China is the only legitimate government that represents the whole of China, and Taiwan is an inseparable part of China.” The Russian side is against the independence of Taiwan in any form.”
The island of Taiwan witnessed the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections on Saturday morning. The final results of this election, which were published late on Saturday, showed that “Lai Ching-te”, the candidate of Taiwan’s ruling party known as the Democratic Progressive Party, which opposes the union with China, has won this election.
Taiwan is a self-governing island, and while China has announced its policy and intention for a peaceful reunification with this island, it has not ruled out resorting to military force to achieve this union.
The Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman also condemned the efforts of some countries to use the recent elections in Taiwan as an excuse to put pressure on China.
The Foreign Ministry Spokesman Russia stated that the efforts of some countries to put pressure on Beijing under the pretext of the recent elections in Taiwan and destabilize the situation in the region are harmful and condemned.
He wrote in a statement: “We We believe that the relations between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait are definitely part of China’s internal affairs. The efforts of some countries to rig the elections in Taiwan in order to put pressure on Beijing and destroy the balance of the situation in the Taiwan Strait and the entire region are harmful and deserve widespread condemnation by the international community. We call on all foreign forces to refrain from provocative actions that undermine regional stability and international security.”
