“Ali Sadegh”, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan, sent a letter to the Inter-Governmental Organization for East African Development “IGAD” and wrote: The government of Sudan decided to cooperate with IGAD suspended the current crisis in this country (the battle between the army and the rapid reaction forces). Sudan has stated in this letter: The violation committed by IGAD is that without consulting the government of Sudan, it has put the review of the situation in this country on the agenda of the meeting of the heads of the East African Intergovernmental Organization on Thursday this week.
According to the Sudan Tribune newspaper, this ministry called the invitation of the commander of the rapid response forces to attend the upcoming meeting of the IGAD as a dangerous action in the history of this organization and stated: the government of Sudan is considers the action as a violation of its national sovereignty and evaluates it in line with the violation of the rules and regulations governing the operation of IGAD. By publishing a statement, he announced: Although an official invitation has been received to attend the upcoming meeting of IGAD leaders in Djibouti, he will not participate in this meeting, because IGAD did not agree to the previous resolutions of the IGAD summit regarding holding a face-to-face meeting with General Abdul Fattah Burhan, the commander of the army. The commander of the rapid reaction forces did not agree with Hamidti on December 28 and this meeting did not take place, while Hamidti has traveled to a number of IGAD member countries.
