According to the Fars news agency reporter in Tashkent, “Merlin Yusufson”, the ambassador of the European Union in Kyrgyzstan, told reporters: “We cooperate with Bishkek in the field of compliance with sanctions against Russia and organize seminars for government organizations.”

According to him, the list of imported goods of Kyrgyzstan that are under the supervision of the European Union has been prepared.

Yosefson added: In addition, There are goods that we wanted to control the import of more carefully. For this reason, experts from European countries organize seminars for specialists of Kyrgyzstan’s government organizations. We are taking the necessary measures to completely stop the flows and impose restrictions.

Several Kyrgyz companies were on the list of violators of the sanctions imposed on the export of goods to Russia.

According to experts, the sharp increase in trade exchanges in the countries of Central Asia in the last two years is due to the expansion of the re-export of goods from China, Europe and several other countries of the world to Russia.

Despite the sanctions, trade between Russia and the West on some goods continues. In this way, during the 11 months of 2023, the United States has imported uranium worth more than 1 billion and 17 million dollars from Russia.
