Ansarullah’s reaction to America’s new anti-immunity measures
The spokesperson of Yemen's Ansarullah Movement, in response to the US action in returning the name of Ansarullah to the so-called "terrorist" list, said that this US action only makes Yemen more determined to support Palestine more. |
According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, “Mohammed Abdulsalam”, the spokesman of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, reacted to the new anti-security measures of the United States this evening (Wednesday).
Mohammed Abdus Salam said in reaction to this American action: “America is using the issue of putting [our name on the terrorist list] for political purposes.” What we have done in the Red Sea is a kind of pressure to stop the war in Gaza.
The Yemeni army announced after the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip intensified that it supports the Palestinian people. It will not allow any Israeli ship to pass through the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait.
The Ansarullah spokesman added: “America’s action will not divert us from our firm position in supporting the Palestinians.” This American decision has no effect in practice. We will not retreat from our position in support of the Palestinian people. America’s recent action only strengthens our will to support Palestine”. US President Joe Biden reversed this decision after coming to power in January 2021. Ned Price, the spokesperson of the US State Department at that time, stated that the goal of the Biden administration was to reduce the humanitarian consequences of the “terrorist” sanctions on Ansarullah.
“Donald Trump”, the former president of the United States, had blacklisted the name of Ansarullah. Many relief organizations active in Yemen asked the US government to reverse this action. Mercy Corps, Norwegian Refugee Council, Oxfam, Save the Children and International Rescue Committee are among these organizations.
