Georgia’s Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili also described the progress of relations between the two countries as positive and welcomed the strengthening of this process. He expressed his satisfaction with the joint consultations with his Iranian counterpart and, referring to the challenges of the region, he considered consolidation of stability and establishment in the region as one of Georgia’s priorities. Referring to the number of Iranian tourists visiting Georgia, he He welcomed the strengthening of people-to-people relations between the two countries. The Foreign Minister of Georgia also considered Iran to be a strong and rooted country in the region and emphasized his country’s desire to expand bilateral relations with Iran in various fields.
