According to a Reuters report, the Mexican Foreign Ministry in a statement considered the International Criminal Court to be the appropriate body to deal with Israel’s possible criminal responsibility.

Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs cited numerous reports from United Nations organizations that described events that could be described as examples of “war crimes”.

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry also said that it is closely following South Africa’s complaint against Israel in the International Court of Justice.

A few weeks ago, South Africa filed a petition with this court based in The Hague, demanding to investigate Israel’s accusation of committing genocide in the Gaza war.

The hearings of this court were held last week, during which the South African lawyer accused Israel of attempting genocide in Gaza.

The representative of South Africa emphasized in this court that the Zionist regime implements apartheid policies towards the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
