, “Sergei Lavrov”, the Russian Foreign Minister, in his annual press conference dedicated to reviewing the achievements of Moscow’s foreign policy, referring to the situation in Afghanistan, said: “There is an actual government in Afghanistan and it controls the situation; It is true that there are some centers of tension and protest there, but the Taliban have real power. He added: We have regular communication with the Taliban. including the issues that need to be resolved in order for them to become a fully formalized government. Regarding the power structure, he said: First of all, the fulfillment of the Taliban’s promises includes the creation of an inclusive government that includes not only the Pashtuns, but also other ethnic and political groups. We actively advise the Taliban to invite other political forces to the government structure. The structure of the Taliban also exists, but from the political point of view, they are all considered to be part of the Taliban. He emphasized: Karzai, the former president and Abdullah, the former chief executive still live there.
Lavrov also asked the Taliban to build a bridge with the Panjshir Front in northern Afghanistan and invite other political forces to the governance structure.
Taliban has not yet reacted to these Russian statements.
