According to the international group Tasnim news agency, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency in an interview with the AFP claimed The Islamic Republic of Iran has minimized its cooperation with this international organization. Rafael Grossi told this news agency: “The situation is disappointing. Our activities continue there but at a minimal level. They are limiting cooperation with us in an unprecedented way.” In this interview, which was conducted on the sidelines of the Davos summit, he also claimed that Iran did not accept and reject some of the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency because of their nationality.

These claims are made while Iran has repeatedly emphasized that it is advancing its nuclear activities and actions based on NPT and safeguards.

The Director General of the IAEA continued “This is a way to punish us. When France, England, or America do something they don’t like, they hold the agency hostage for their own political conflicts with others. This is not acceptable for us.”

Grossi: The path to negotiations with Iran is still open.

Mohammed Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization earlier on January 6, on the sidelines of the meeting of the government delegation in the group of journalists, stated: The political media work that has been brought up again regarding the enrichment of Iran is not a new thing and also in the report of the Director General of the Board of Governors. He added: These words are a media frenzy and the goals they are pursuing are completely clear. In this political situation and following the situation that the war in Gaza has created for them, they are trying to create another space in order to return the focus and public opinion from Gaza to Iran, it is clear what their goals are. Atomic Energy Organization said: People should be aware that we have not done anything new and we are following our current activity which is done according to the framework and according to the rules. He told reporters: Regarding the agreement with the Agency, I must say that there were three paragraphs in the March agreement between Iran and the Agency, three paragraphs of 3 to 4 lines, which in the first paragraph says that Iran’s relations with the Agency are within the framework of safeguards and NPT. In the second paragraph, it is stated that regarding the alleged locations, the parties should cooperate with each other in order to resolve it, and it is also mentioned in the third paragraph that Iran and the IAEA should determine a model to advance their joint programs in the upper two paragraphs of this agreement.

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization said: We are doing our work patiently and according to the rules, and we will not fall short of our nuclear rights framework. They know that they are lying about the accusations made by the other side against Iran, and these things do not correspond to reality.
