Question: Mr. Minister, thank you for your time. Welcome to CNBC. Mr. Minister, people at the World Economic Forum in Davos say that you should not be here; Especially after the Houthi attack on commercial ships in the Red Sea, as well as Iran’s recent attacks on Iraqi Kurdistan and Syria. Please give your answer about this.

Amir Abdullahian: First of all, I must say that for many years, the National Salvation Government of Yemen has been in large parts of Yemeni territory and settled in the capital (Sanaa) and they have been one of the negotiating parties with the Saudi government in recent months. According to our information, they are in the final stages of reaching a lasting agreement with Saudi Arabia. Therefore, in different dimensions, we see the responsible behavior of the Yemenis, and in line with this responsible approach, they are disgusted by the genocide that is happening in Gaza now, and for this reason, they stopped the ships that were moving through the Red Sea towards the ports of Israel. stopped This decision was taken by them, but we have repeatedly heard from them that they are committed to freedom of shipping and navigation. My answer is that those parties who supported the Gaza genocide in the last 100 days and caused the death of 24,000 civilians, including more than 18,000 children and women, should not have a place in Davos.

But I emphasize that the responsible action of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran was in line with the fight against terrorism and legitimate defense. We respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries. We have the best relations with Iraq and Pakistan. But when it comes to securing Iran’s national security, we have no compliments.

Question: The Prime Minister of Iraq has called the recent attacks a clear example of aggression. . You say that these actions were in line with national security. Is it true?

Amir Abdullahian: We have very privileged relations with Baghdad. Our relations have been developed and deepened in different dimensions. But the issue of fighting terrorism and ensuring the national security of countries cannot be subject to any doubt or delay. The Iraqi authorities know very well that Iran regards the security of that country as its security and terrorists are the common enemy of the people and governments of Iran and Iraq.

Question: Specifically, in relation to the attacks we saw in the Red Sea, the US intelligence agency says that Iran has helped the Houthis attack ships. He says that “Iran was deeply involved in the planning of these attacks.” What is your answer?

Amir Abdullahian:We have always played a positive role in the events of the region. In the past years, it was actually Iran that rushed to the aid of the people and government of Syria and Iraq and helped them in the fight against ISIS. We have offered the blood of our best military advisers to help the people and armed forces of Iraq and Syria. But in relation to what is happening now in the Red Sea, we must pay attention to the origin and root of the problem. We should not only look at one piece of this puzzle, the Red Sea. First of all, we believe that the origin of this crisis goes back to the genocide and crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza. If these crimes and genocide are stopped, naturally the situation created in the region and in this case it seems that the expansion of the scope of the war can be controlled in a logical way. Second, the people of Yemen and other countries and regions in the region who are defending the people of Palestine, especially Gaza, act based on their own experiences and judgment and do not receive any orders or instructions from us. Of course, we admire them for defending the oppressed Palestinians. We are starting to trade and export oil through the sea route. But it should be known and we believe that any action to destabilize the region is rooted in Israel and its genocide in Gaza. These crimes must be stopped and dealt with from the root.

Question: Have Hamas and the Houthis potentially dragged you into a war that you don’t want to fight in?

Amir Abdullahian: As a liberation movement, Hamas independently decided to act against the occupation. During the first week of the October 7 operation, I met with the political leader of Hamas in Doha, Qatar, and at that time the most important issue in the spotlight was how to facilitate the exchange of women and civilian prisoners. The political leader of Hamas told me that he was fully prepared and agreed to the issue of freeing women and civilians and exchange, but at that time Tel Aviv was only thinking about war and genocide and was not ready. We look at Hamas as a liberation movement against the occupiers, they are working for the liberation of the Palestinian land from the occupation. But they have never tried to involve Iran in the war. At the same time, we believe that Iran’s political and spiritual support for the resistance movement against occupation has played a positive role in maintaining stability and peace in West Asia.

Question:What is Iran’s red line and do you reject the possibility of direct conflict with Israel?

Question:Finally, Mr. Minister, your message to the White House and President Joe Biden and their allies, for example in the UK, who say their patience with the Houthis is running out, What is it?

Amir Abdullahian: First, I want to tell the White House that they must commit to their agreement with Iran and The promises they made to us should be kept.

Second point, the United States and Mr. Biden should not tie their fate to the fate of Netanyahu. The full cooperation of Biden and the White House with thugs like Netanyahu in Israel is the root of insecurity in the region. President Biden must immediately end his full support for this Palestinian genocide and the killing of over 13,500 Palestinian children. Netanyahu has reached the end of the road and no medical equipment or oxygen capsule can revive and save him. But throughout history, resistance against occupation has always been legitimate. We enjoy peace and security in the region. The security of the Red Sea, Persian Gulf and international waters is in our interest. Stop the war in Gaza and let peace return to our region. In closing, I would like to say that our response to the respect shown by other countries, including the United States, is mutual respect. We respect the American people, but in the end, know that Yemen and Ansarullah have a high civilization and culture. Thousands of years ago, when a country called the United States was not on the world map, one of the greatest human civilizations existed in Yemen.

Amir Abdullahian: America and England have no right to hold regional security hostage for Netanyahu’s benefit
Amir Abdullahian: We will respond to every action of Israel with force/we respect the sovereignty of Iraq and Pakistan
