According to the international group Tasnim news agency, in the past few days, The publication of a field research about the attitude of Turkish youth towards “hope” and “life” attracted the attention of scientific, political and media circles.
The Justice and Development Party seeks to present Erdogan as a unique and historically powerful leader and to highlight the sending of a Turkish astronaut into space as an unprecedented milestone, Professor Selcuk Shirin, one of Turkey’s academic figures and One of the famous researchers in the field of social sciences, showed that, contrary to the government’s claim, Turkey is not in a good mood, and by the way, in the past few years, the youth of this country have become more desperate.
Professor Shirin in the newspaper Oxygen published detailed statistics and announced: We cannot move our country towards development with only epic advertisements and the use of exaggerated adjectives and expressions. Turkish academics have found out in field research that making big claims about Turkey’s regional and international role and exaggerating the role and position of this country in the global balance have no relation to reality.
Prof. Shirin received wide coverage in the Turkish media and Mustafa Karaalioglu, one of the famous analysts of this country, inspired by his statements, wrote a note with the title: “The latest News about our story about the big country – big government”.
Put together the important parts of Karaoglu’s note and his vision of the big Turkey. We review:
Turkey and the dream of a great country – a great nation
We love to tell exciting and challenging stories about our country. Most of them are a series of epic stories full of exaggeration. Either they distort the reality in which we live today, or the goals that we cannot really achieve are imagined in an exaggerated way, accessible in these stories, and we claim that Turkey has become a powerful country. And it is reaching the top.
Part of the main epic stories about Turkey today and tomorrow are the set or collection of dreams that are branded as “great country, government”. great, great nation”, are produced and supplied!
In order to show that we are at an excellent level, we use a simple tactic: first, the criteria of excellence We determine based on our own size and stature, then we show that not only is it very easy to achieve the goal, but we are just a hair away from becoming great!
Now then that the dreams related to glory and greatness, not based on a government and party mentality, but must be proven with historical and real documents and the living conditions of our people show that we have really reached a high level. But unfortunately, the propaganda machine of the ruling party works on these scenarios in the form of election and propaganda and not based on objective reality, and field evidence shows that this party can gather votes with these slogans and selling these dreams. attract a group of people to himself.
Many of the things that are said from the government’s propaganda platform about the power of the country, can never be proven in the real world! The government, without creating real growth and without bringing about a positive change in the lives of our people, constantly says that we are a big government and we are getting bigger day by day and the next century belongs to us and our nation!
When we ask: if we have a big government, then why is the living conditions of our people so miserable, they calmly relate the reason to the interference of foreign countries that are enemies of Turkey! But really, such a claim is very meaningless.
First, why should foreign powers do something against our government? Second, if they want to do something and plan a conspiracy, shouldn’t you, as a great government, and we, as a great nation, have strategies and tools to neutralize all their insidious actions? If we don’t have such power and possibility, then why should we think that we are big!?
We constantly say that we have a big country, we have a big government. But apparently, our whole plan to be introduced as a powerful world country is this: We don’t go to production, we don’t have the mood to study and research. We don’t want to invent anything, we are not interested in order and discipline, we don’t like the appearance of law and rights, and foreign powers are obliged to open all the gates for us!
This is our entire road map to introduce Turkey as a great state and country! you say no Take a look at the research results of Professor Seljuq Shirin and his colleagues. It was just two days ago that they published the results of their latest field research in Oxygen newspaper and showed us the facts that are miles away from the claims of the great Turkey and the great government.
b) Those who say “I am hopeful It has decreased from 66.6% to 43.7%.
C) The youth were asked if they are satisfied with their education. In 2017, those who said they were “satisfied” was 73.8% and it decreased to 50.4% in 2023.
d) The rate of those who said they want to live in another country to get an education, in 2019 it was 22.7%, this amount increased to 28.3% in 2023.
e) The amount of people who defined themselves as “poor” In 2017, it was 66 percent, and in 2023, that number will rise to 79 percent.
f) Those who said they were hopeless about the future were already at an incredible 33 percent, and In 2023, they will increase to 56%.
These numbers are both a summary of our “big” story and evidence that the situation is not a good sign.
Let’s see how convincing the story of “big country, big government” you keep telling young people is. According to this research, of all the young people who answered these questions, 24.5% are left, 25.9% are right, 37.9% are neither right nor left, and the rest do not define themselves ideologically under a specific group.
In other words, the big stories that we have been repeating for years, have not been able to convince neither the right nor the left, nor even football fans! Because the story is not true. Stories that are far from the realities of the world cannot make a change.
