Burrell: Israel cannot make peace with military measures alone

according to the report of Tasnim news international group, Josep Burrell “Peace and stability cannot be created by military means alone, and through this particular way of using military force,” said the European Union’s foreign policy official about Israel’s war in Gaza.
According to the AFP report, before meeting with his Israeli and Palestinian counterparts, the top diplomat of the European Union emphasized the necessity of turning to a two-state solution as a solution to end the conflicts between Israel and the Palestinians.
Borrell’s statements came while the foreign ministers of the 27 European Union member states are going to meet and discuss with their counterparts from Israel, the Palestinian Authority and Arab countries in Brussels.

In another part of his statement, the EU foreign policy official condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s stance in rejecting the two-state solution and described it as “unacceptable”.
He said: “What we want to do is create a two-state solution, so let’s talk about it.”
Burrell added: “What are the solutions that they have in mind? Displacing the Palestinians? kill them?” He claimed to have delivered a “comprehensive solution” to find a lasting peace to the foreign ministers of the EU countries.
