According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency, “Rosa Otenbayeva, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations and Head of the Organization’s Deputy Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) stated today (Wednesday, 4th of Bahman) in a message on the occasion of World Education Day that the Taliban must understand that education is not only a moral obligation, but also for prosperity and peace. He stressed the lifting of restrictions on girls’ education in Afghanistan and said that the Taliban have a duty to protect and support the education rights of all, regardless of gender. .
Utenbaeva further stated: Persisting on the current path will only cause more harm to all Afghans and keep Afghanistan isolated from the Islamic world and the international community. /p>
He added that respecting the education rights of women and girls is not only the desire of Western countries, but also the desire of the Islamic world.
