America: We hold the Taliban accountable for human rights violations
| The deputy spokesperson of the US State Department stated that Washington will hold the Taliban government accountable for what it called human rights violations. |
According to the regional office of Tasnim news agency
, “Vedant Patel”, the deputy spokesperson of the US Department of State, accused the Taliban government of violating human rights in Afghanistan in a press conference.
In response to a question about the limitation of girls’ education in Afghanistan, he said: “We will hold the Taliban accountable for the gross violation of human rights that we continue to witness, and this is what we will continue to do.”
Before this, Matthew Miller, the spokesperson of the US State Department, said that the Taliban is far from gaining international legitimacy and any Gaining legitimacy requires certain actions on behalf of Kabul.
Taliban, however, in response to these statements and the imposition of sanctions by the United States, said that Washington because of its support for Israel is one of the biggest violators of human rights, so it cannot claim human rights.
