Amir Abdollahian’s warning to the Americans: be careful of the game of Netanyahu and the Zionists
Iran's foreign minister warned the Americans to be careful of Netanyahu and the Zionists' game and said that their game is a game of war. |
According to the foreign policy group of Fars News Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amirabdollahian, had an interview with the Al-Monitor news site on the sidelines of his trip to New York.
* For post-war Gaza, the center of any decision should be the Palestinian leaders
The reporter stated that There is a lot of talk about holding a conference or a possible international process that could lead to the formation of a Palestinian state after the end of the Gaza war. He asked Amir Abdollahian whether Iran will participate in this conference or international process. He said: Post-war Gaza is a very important issue, this issue has occupied minds for weeks. But we think that for post-war Gaza, the center of any decision should be the Palestinian leaders and others should support it. Palestinian-Palestinian dialogues should be formed and they will come to a conclusion about how to manage Gaza and the West Bank through these dialogues. Such action will not lead to good results. But it is important that others support the Palestinian decision. When I talk about the Palestinians, I mean all the Palestinian groups with their different ideas. The Palestinian people must have the right to choose. How to manage Gaza and the West Bank? How should Palestine be governed? An alternative model should be created with the help of the United Nations.
* A country that wants to normalize relations with Israel must to pay a heavy price
The reporter asked if Iran, by normalizing (relations) between Saudi Arabia and Israel, if it paves the way for the formation of the Palestinian state and the process that we Does it help, oppose or support what we are talking about? Amir Abdollahian said: We had a conversation with the Saudis in this regard. The Saudis told us that Palestine is their top priority. Regarding the normalization of relations, Israel’s recent actions have made the conditions complicated and difficult for any country that wants to normalize relations with the Israeli regime. There is. They say: Normalization with whom? With the regime that killed 25 thousand women, children and civilians? With a regime against which protests have been held in the streets of the world and even America and Europe due to genocide? Today’s genocidal conditions of the Israeli regime are very different from before the 7th of October. A country that wants to normalize relations with Israel in this situation must pay a heavy price.
We have a strong and privileged relationship, but we have no complaints with anyone about national security. The battle between Iranian-backed Iraqi militias and American forces has turned into a war. In your talks with the Iraqi government, do you still insist that the American troops withdraw from Iraq? Can you elaborate on what appears to be a troubling rift in Iran-Iraq relations?” To which the foreign minister replied: Iran-Iraq relations are strong relations. We have strong ties between the two countries after the fall of Saddam Hussein. If I say that there are privileged and special relations between the two countries, I have said the right thing.
The foreign minister said: But in all these years, we have a problem in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. Although we have historical and good relations with Kurds and Iraqi Kurdish leaders, terrorist groups have been using the Iraqi Kurdistan Region to attack Iran for years. We have repeatedly told the central government and the authorities of Iraqi Kurdistan about this and even told them that if you are not able to secure our common borders, we will use our right to legitimate defense within the framework of international law. We respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq and there is a security agreement between us in this regard. We have not attacked Iraq, but we have attacked Mossad headquarters in the Kurdistan region. Central government officials and Baghdad understand this very well. Therefore, while we have a strong and privileged relationship with Iraq, we have no compunction with anyone regarding national security.
Iraqis themselves should decide.
* We do not interfere in the internal affairs of Lebanon
The reporter also mentioned Lebanon and asked Amir Abdullahian whether Iran opposes or supports the border demarcation agreement between Israel and Hezbollah to reduce tensions in accordance with Security Council Resolution 1701. ?’ He said: This is an issue between the Lebanese government and the Israeli regime. Naturally, the Lebanese are looking for their sovereignty and territorial integrity to be preserved in the best way. The stabilization of the Lebanese people’s rights in this regard is of interest to them. This is an internal Lebanese matter and we do not interfere in the internal affairs of Lebanon. engage all fronts to his advantage
The reporter said: “You have already talked about the back channels used to get the message to the United States, you can talk about Explain whether you have received or sent any messages directly or indirectly from the Biden administration regarding de-escalation?” Amir Abdollahian said: In the past 110 days, various messages have been exchanged between Iran and the United States about the developments in the region and Gaza. Last week in Davos and in a meeting with British Foreign Minister David Cameron, I told him frankly that the joint attack of the United States and Britain on Yemen was a strategic mistake. Of course, we have seen in the recent actions of the Israeli regime in the last 110 days in Gaza, everything has been done with the full support of the United States, with the weapons that the United States gives them, with the political and international support of the United States, and even with the presence of American military and security advisers. /p>
The foreign minister continued: Therefore, today in Gaza and the West Bank, America is heavily involved in the war alongside Netanyahu. But Israel has not achieved anything, that is, despite the extensive support of the United States, Hamas was not destroyed, Hamas was not disarmed, and no prisoners were released by force. For Netanyahu, the issue of personal survival is also important. If America stops the war today, Netanyahu will never be able to continue the war tomorrow. Therefore, with this attitude, Netanyahu tries to involve America in other fronts as well. We are witnessing that Netanyahu is trying to involve America on all fronts for his benefit.
The head of the diplomatic service said: We warn the Americans to be careful of the game of Netanyahu and the Zionists. Because their game is the game of war.
He stated that of course diplomatic channels are open for exchanging messages between America and us, and reminded: At the same time, Switzerland as the guardian of America’s interests In Iran, it is an official diplomatic channel for exchanging our messages. Exchanging these messages helps to better understand the situation. We do not seek to expand the scope of the war. /p>
According to Fars report, Amir Abdollahian, mentioning that it is clear that the security of shipping and navigation in the Red Sea and the region is in our interest, said: an important part of trade and (transportation) of oil We ship by sea. The region will not benefit from war in the region. But the war in Gaza must stop. When I say war, I mean the killing of women, children and civilians. The continuation of this genocide is not good for the so-called prestige of America. I really don’t think the White House can answer that what justification can there be for the killing of 14,000 children and babies with the support of the United States? The support of the Israeli regime, when it is extended to the support of the Israeli genocide, has no proportion with the values that America speaks of. Unless we say that the White House is a hostage of Tel Aviv. Hamas is in our hands
The Al-Monitor reporter stated that “you said that Iran has no desire to escalate the situation in the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf due to its shipping interests.” Amir Abdollahian asked, “What measures are you taking to de-escalate the tension?” Have you or will you send a message to the Houthis to stop the attacks? The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated: Three weeks ago, one of the Yemeni leaders of Sana’a was in Tehran. Mr. Abdulsalam, who is their negotiator with Saudi Arabia. First, there is a misconception among the White House and American statesmen, some American statesmen think that the remote control of the Houthis, Hezbollah and Hamas is in our hands! They really make their own decisions. They each have their own materials and considerations. They are Arabs and Muslims and they are taking measures to support the Arabs and Muslims of Palestine. This goes back to cultural and religious issues in our region.
* We admire the courage of Yemenis
He stated: Let me say frankly that we admire their courage! That they decide to stop the Israeli genocide in Palestine in support of the Palestinian people. This decision is both costly and brave for them. The Yemenis tell us that they adhere to the safety of navigation and shipping. But, in support of the Palestinian people, they decided to stop every Israeli ship and every ship going to Israeli ports.
The foreign minister added: America and England made a bad decision. While Saudi Arabia and Yemen are close to a final agreement after a decade of war, while different war fronts are still open, the United States and Britain have opened a new war front in the Red Sea and Yemen. This means the movement of America and England in the direction of development and expansion of tension. Well, Yemenis have nothing to lose. For 10 years, Saudi Arabia was in front of them with all the facilities. England also helped a lot in the war against Yemen. Therefore, we think war is not the solution. With the genocide and killing of children and women, Netanyahu cannot destroy Hamas and release its prisoners.
Amir Abdullahian noted: Everyone should try to stop the war. You may say that if the war ends in Gaza, will the war stop on other fronts? Two days before the recent humanitarian ceasefire, I had a meeting with Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon. I told them that a humanitarian ceasefire is supposed to be established for a few days. If the ceasefire is established, will Lebanon’s attacks in support of Gaza continue? He said: “No, we will stop (it) if the attacks on Gaza stop.” In all six days of humanitarian ceasefire, not a single shot was fired by Lebanon. So the root (of all these conflicts) must be stopped and treated.
